    Chase the Skies and Vibrant Visuals launch today

    New horizons await in Minecraft

    We’re ready for lift-off, friends, because our Chase the Skies drop is now available to play in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and Minecraft: Java Edition! 

    This drop not only brings an exciting flying mount to Minecraft but opens up the skies for exploring, building – and more. Raise your ghastling with care and it'll let you soar with friends above the clouds once fully grown. Build high into the sky, leash a caravan of camels together, uncover a new music disc, find wandering friends with the Player Locator bar, and more. 

    Players on Bedrock Edition can also soak in breathtaking views with Minecraft's biggest official visual refresh – Vibrant Visuals!

    Minecraft: Your ultimate vacation spot

     

    You’ve landed in Minecraft – but where should you stay? What should you do? Luckily for you – we have prepared the ultimate travel guide for you and your friends! From tips on where to stay, to what to pack – this guide has everything to make your vacation in Minecraft an unforgettable one!

    Bonus souvenirs include dried ghasts (found in the Nether!), a new music disc (also found in the Nether...) and saddles, which can now be crafted, and found in chests!

    Chase the Skies is available now in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and Minecraft: Java Edition, and Vibrant Visuals is available now for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on compatible devices!*

    * Vibrant Visuals graphics upgrade is currently only available for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.  Supported devices for Vibrant Visuals include Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, and PC.  

    • Android: Adreno 640, Mali-G68, Mali-G77, or Xclipse 530 or higher 

    • iOS: A12 or M1 or higher 

    • PC: Running Minecraft on DX12 

    To switch to Vibrant Visuals on Xbox One, Xbox One S, PlayStation 4, and some Android devices, players need to select "Vibrant Visuals" in the Video menu using the Graphics Mode drop-down. Performance may degrade for these devices. 

    Marketplace Add-Ons, Skins, and Persona items will work with Vibrant Visuals, however, Worlds and Texture Packs are not compatible with the new mode at this time.

    Splitscreen multiplayer is not supported with Vibrant Visuals and the game will switch to Fancy or Simple rendering if multiple players are joined locally.

    Minecraft is also now optimized for Xbox Series X I S! Play Minecraft, explore our Chase the Skies drop and discover our official graphics enhancement Vibrant Visuals with your Xbox Series X or S!
