Start the party with Toya’s celebratory skin pack
Flamboyant costumes! Giant parrots on wheels! The thrumming, mesmerising rhythm of a hundred drums being hammered!
All signs point to carnival!
It’s happening this weekend in Brazil, and in other discerning locations all around the world. We’re not ones to turn down the chance to party - so it’s coming to Minecraft too, all thanks to our chums at Toya. They’ve made a bunch of colourful carnival skins for you to strut about in!

The whole idea of carnival actually arose from a solemn religious occasion, during which believers would stop eating meat. It takes a certain kind of chutzpah to take a thing all about denying yourself something delicious and turn it into a raucous, thrilling celebration, full of colour, laughter and music. We like it!
This is probably a good time to mention that we are beginning to translate articles on Minecraft.net into Brazilian Portuguese! Just an extra little something for you to celebrate this weekend. Have fun!
